National apple day - We live amongst historic orchards - 

Saturday 21ST October 2022

12 pm - 3 pm in the park


National Apple Day & Harrow Weald 1st Mini Horticultural Show


£1 per entry per category. Entries must be registered by 12 noon. Results announced at 3 pm.

Vegetables:
Best Vegetable (3 of the same variety)
Best Vegetable (3 of different varieties)
Biggest Vegetable (one of any variety)
Heaviest Vegetable (one of any variety)
Best Mixed Vegetable Display

Fruit (apples in separate section - see below):
Best Fruit (3 of the same variety)
Best Fruit (3 of different varieties)
Best Mixed Fruit Display

Flowers:
Best Flower (3 blooms of the same variety)
Best Flower (3 blooms of different varieties)
Best Flower Arrangement (any size)

Apples:
Best Apple (3 of same variety)
Best Apple (3 of different varieties)
Best large Apple Cake (one of any variety)
Best small Apple Cake (three small cakes of any variety)
Best Apple Sauce
Best Apple Jam or Jelly
Best Apple Chutney
Best Cider
Best Apple Juice

Preserves:
Best Jam or Jelly (any variety)
Best Honey (any variety)
Best Marmalade (any variety)
Best Chutney (any variety)

Best In Show will be awarded to the one exhibit from all categories that is the judges’ choice.

Join in! All welcome! And there will be music, apple products for sale and activities for kids. If you have any spare garden apples (between now and then) please donate them to us. We are going to press them and make our own apple juice which we will sell in the cafe to raise funds.

Community events - Get involved.

We encourage you to register and add your Harrow community events.

Many community groups ask us to add events or send us their information, we are happy to add events however as volunteers our time is limited.

Why add your events to this event system?

The events system is integrated with several social media platforms, google business, and provides event feeds to other locations online, so your event will get seen.

We offer a single source of information to Harrovians to find local harrow community and park events

Once you have added your event you can and send it to your own Facebook page or other social media platforms and it will be included in our feeds.

If you have any problems registering, please contact us and we will set you up and email you instructions to add events.
